Box Office
TIX on the Square is a community box office that was initiated as a project by the EAC approximately ten years ago, with original intent to operate a 'rush' ticket booth. TIX has since developed into a central box office servicing the numerous smaller professional and community groups in Edmonton with selling their tickets, and promoting their concerts or events through media release distribution services for organizations.
TIX offers online ticket sales, and showcases community clients graphics and promotional ads for the wide range of varying events on TIX website. Additionally, TIX website contains a directory of venues that are suitable for arts events, and a directory of arts organizations in Edmonton (details organization information and website links), giving Edmontonians unparalleled arts connections.
Store
In spring 2011, TIX began operating the retail space in their Churchill Square home (formerly known as the City Store). The TIX store features a wide range of unique handcrafted products created by local Edmonton and Alberta artists--pottery, jeweley, photography, quilts, clothing and more.
Also showcasing items about Edmonton, unique souvenier gifting products include historic streetscape prints made from the City of Edmonton Archives, books about Edmonton and/or written by local authors, CDs recorded by regional musicians--visit often as new stock arrives frequently!
TIX staff strive to maintain a strong knowledge of local artists and arts events happening in Edmonton. The success of TIX on the Square is attributed to excellent customer service, and the quality of the arts events and products it represents.
