What's Happening on the Square

 

SUNDAY SWING 'n' SKATE 

Noon - 3pm  Sundays in January & February 2012 

Live jazz and swing bands perform inside City Hall, while music is piped outside to entertain the skaters at City Hall Plaza--dancing encouraged with or without skates! Free admittance.

GAME ON! Free Drop-In Street Hockey

11:30am - 1:30pm Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays* on Centennial Plaza (south of the Stanley Milner Library).

Bring your friends/co-workers for a great mid-day 'breakaway'. Three-on-three, one-on-one--we have the sticks, come have some fun!

The Edmonton Arts Council (EAC), in partnership with the City of Edmonton, programs activity and event 'Happenings' in Sir Winston Churchill Square for casual and day-to-day public use between major festivals and civic events.

Since August 2011, EAC Churchill Square 'Happenings' programmer, Bob Rasko, has produced a diverse schedule of offerings open to the public including: Monday Night Cipher, Rush Hour Wednesdays, Live at Lunch, and Zumba on the Square. 

Getting there: Sir Winston Churchill Square is easily accessible by bus and LRT.  Visit www.takeETS.com for route and schedule information.
