Winter City Weekends
Visit the City Market at from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm on Saturdays in City Hall in downtown Edmonton to shop for locally-made arts and crafts, baked goods, groceries, and more.
Swing 'n Skate will feature live swing, jazz and big band music in the City Room at City Hall from between 11:00-4:00 pm on most Sundays until February 23, 2014. This season’s acts, including Swing Manouche, the Bullies of Basin Street and Don Berner's Little Big Band, are sure to get you jiving – with the friendly help of the Sugar Swing Dance Club! If you’d rather be outdoors, the music will be broadcast directly outside for the enjoyment of ice skaters on City Hall Plaza. Free skate rentals will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

The Edmonton Arts Council (EAC), in partnership with the City of Edmonton, programs activity and event Happenings in Sir Winston Churchill Square for casual and day-to-day public use between major festivals and civic events.
Since August 2011, EAC Churchill Square Happenings programmer, Bob Rasko, has produced a diverse schedule of offerings open to the public including: Sunday Swing 'n Skate, Game On street hockey, Rush Hour Wednesdays, Live at Lunch, and Zumba on the Square.
