Calls to Artists

The NorthwestFest International Documentary Festival is accepting submissions for the 2020 festival. Alberta filmmakers can submit their short, mid, or feature length films for free with the password NWFAB2020.  

Nextfest is accepting submissions for numerous elements of Nextfest 2020 including submissions for musical artists and bands, an emerging choreographer, theatre and mainstage projects, and dance.

New Music Edmonton is accepting proposals for the Now Hear This Festival of New Music. Submit by December 15.

Indigenous artists and artist teams residing in Alberta are invited to submit to the Métis Crossing Public Art Call. Submit by January 3.

The Edmonton Arts Council has issued a Request for Qualifications from artists or artist teams for the Butler Memorial Park Public Art Project. Submit by January 6.

The Writers' Guild of Alberta invites writers and their publishers from across Alberta to submit to the 2020 Alberta Literary Awards. Submit by December 31.

Applications are now open for the 2020 Lieutenant Governor of Alberta's Emerging Artist Awards. Apply by February 23.
