Calls to Artists
The Alberta Society of Artists invites Alberta artists to submit to the exhibition, "Into the Light." Submit by October 2020.  

The Citadel Theatre is accepting proposals for the RBC Horizon Emerging Artist Program. This residency program is designed to support early career BIPOC artists. Submit by October 5.   

The City of Edmonton is searching for its next Indigenous Artist-in-Residence. Nominations close October 6. 

Workshop West Playwrights Theatre is seeking script submissions from local playwrights for dramaturgical support and production consideration. Submit by October 15. 

Grant & Funding Opportunities

The Edmonton Arts Council is accepting applications for Equity and Access in the Arts (October 15 deadline). Click here for information on current and upcoming EAC grant opportunities. 

Applications are open for numerous grant opportunities from the Edmonton Heritage Council. Apply today for a Project Grant (divided into two substreams of Community Project Grant and Change Capital Project Grant), Operational Grant, Online Learning Grant, or a Project Accelerator Grant (divided into two substreams of Digital Heritage Experiences and Individual Seed).

Applications are open for the AMAAS Sponsorships and Bursary programs. Both programs close October 1.  

John Humphrey Centre presents YEG Dignity Fresh Air Outdoor Performance Fund. A NEW fund to support Edmonton's live music and comedy community, while lifting our collective spirits. Open to all Edmonton-area residents. Details and application form here.

Applications are open for the Heart + Soul Fund by EPCOR. The grant is is intended to provide financial support to arts, culture and recreation organizations and creators to build resilience and deliver programming that uplifts Edmontonians. Intake is open until December 4 or until the funding is exhausted.

Research Participation
The Arts Alberta Digital Transformation Initiative, a project funded by the Canada Council for the Arts Digital Strategy Fund, is seeking community input to gauge the scale of awareness, acceptance, and implementation of a digital strategy transitional roll out within the Alberta Arts and Cultural Ecosystem. To participate in this project, complete the Arts Alberta Digital Readiness Survey 2020 here.

Workshop West Playwrights' Theatre is looking for volunteers for a live production this fall (between October 21 and Nov 1). The fall production is specially designed to be COVID Safe and is largely outside. Fill out the volunteer form here
