Call for Expressions of Interest: Dance Prize Partner

The City of Edmonton Arts Prizes propel and celebrate artists from a range of artforms and practices, by recognizing their work, and financially investing in them so they can continue to experiment and create. With shared purpose and intent, the prizes respond to specific discipline forms and communities of artists. To that end, the prizes are delivered through partners that are engaged and serve those art forms, such as provincial arts service organizations.

Currently there are four prizes that recognize visual arts, writing, film, and music. We envision the arts prize categories growing in future years to include a greater diversity of arts disciplines. The Edmonton Arts Council is considering adding another prize, possibly as soon as 2026

We are seeking expressions of interest from not-for-profit organizations that could potentially partner in delivering a future City of Edmonton Dance Prize. To be considered, organizations must be connected to a range of dance practices and dance practitioners and must demonstrate the administrative capacity to manage a nomination and assessment process.

Interested organizations should submit a one-page letter of interest before Friday July 4th, 2025, attention to Renée Williams at the Edmonton Arts Council.
