Free / Pay-What-You-Can Visual Art
Free / Pay-What-You-Can Multi-Disciplinary Music Visual Art
@ Harcourt House Artist Run Centre
Opening Reception: Saturday, July 4, 2026, 1:00 – 2:30 pm (during Harcourt House’s 2026 Open House)
Presented as part of Harcourt House’s celebration of 120 years of abstract art (1906 – 2026), Rhapsody in Colour invites audiences to experience a dynamic convergence of visual art and music. Artists working across all visual media explore the expressive potential of colour as sound, rhythm, and vibration. Inspired by the pioneering ideas of Wassily Kandinsky and Hilma af Klint, alongside musical innovators such as Alexander Scriabin, the exhibition examines the affinities between abstraction and musical composition. As an annual celebration of Harcourt House’s vibrant membership, the exhibition provides a platform for artists to exhibit and sell their work while contributing to the sustainability of the artist-run centre.
