The Heart of Community

The Heart of Community is organized in celebration of Canadian Multiculturalism Day while also commemorating Sisters Dialogue’s 5^th Anniversary. The festival will serve as a vibrant gathering space bringing together families, youth, elders, newcomers, community organizations, artists, and residents from across Edmonton to celebrate culture, belonging, and community connection.

Held outdoors in the Amanah parking lot, with access to indoor healing-centered spaces, the event will feature cultural performances, spoken word artists, Indigenous beading activities, youth programming, cultural food vendors, and interactive community spaces designed to foster intercultural understanding and meaningful dialogue.

Activities for kids include face painting and balloon twisting. Plus the 1^st 500 attendees will receive a beautiful commemorative fridge magnet!
