Edmonton’s Poet Laureate E. D. Blodgett composed this series of 40 poems in English, French, Cree, Chinese and Ukrainian. He writes, Like time and history, the river is always flowing away, always moving on, so, I’m trying to punctuate, slow down that flow with these poems.” These poems highlight people’s enjoyment of the river valley and Louise McKinney Park by giving them something artistically transformative to think about as they take in the view.
