EAC Board announces Interim Executive Director

In early February, the EAC Board announced that Sanjay Shahani was departing the EAC as Executive Director. His last day will be on March 22, 2024.
To ensure a seamless transition as the Board develops recruitment plans, Shirley Combden has been appointed Interim Executive Director by the Board, and will assume the role on March 25. Many of you will be familiar with Shirley — she has been with the EAC for eighteen years, and in that time has moved from Finance Officer, to Senior Manager of Finance and Administration, then Director of Finance and Administration, to her most recent position as Associate Executive Director of the Finance, Organizational Effectiveness and Engagement division. The Board has great confidence in Shirley and the entire team at the EAC supporting her during the transition period.
The Board of the EAC is responsible for hiring the Executive Director and is actively planning to work with a third-party executive search firm to engage in and lead a national recruitment effort. These recruitment plans will be announced as they become available.
