Welcome to the new and re-elected members of the EAC board

The EAC’s Board of Directors is made up of dedicated volunteers elected by the membership to serve three-year terms, with the option to serve up to two consecutive terms. We are pleased to welcome two new members to the Board, along with two returning members beginning their second terms. Our sincere thanks go out to all of our volunteers for their commitment and contributions.

NEW TO THE EAC BOARD
Anastasia Arabia
Anastasia Arabia is a founding partner of Trend Research Inc., one of the largest marketing research firms in Alberta, with a call centre, and focus group facilities.
Anastasia is a member of the Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC), currently serving on the National Board. She is also a board member for the Old Strathcona Business Association (OSBA), has served on committees for the Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, and has been the Strathearn Community League President since 2023.
Jill Urbanoski
Jill Urbanoski is the founder of Euda Prioritize, a strategic advisory firm helping CEOs and leadership teams manage execution risk through strategy-led prioritization. Euda’s work focuses on the predictable human and organizational patterns that cause strategic initiatives to fail, helping leaders make and communicate difficult decisions about where to focus when faced with increasing complexity.
Jill’s career spans executive advisory, people and culture leadership, and not-for-profit governance. She has served as Chief of Staff to the CEO of AIMCo, and was the founder and first Executive Director of the AIMCo Foundation for Financial Education.
RETURNING BOARD MEMBERS
Allan Gilliland
Allan Gililand is Dean Emeritus of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Communications at MacEwan University, where he teaches in the Music department. He has served three years as an EAC Director, including two as Vice-Chair, and is standing for a second three-year term.
Cynthia Stiksma
Cynthia Stiksma is a Chartered Professional Accountant. For 4 years she has been a Senior Manager with KPMG Canada. Cynthia has served three years as a Director, and as the EAC’s Treasurer. She is standing for a second three-year term.
