ETS Historical Tours: The Edmonton Grads

9:30 am

Ticketed Event

For three days only this summer, join the Edmonton Transit Service for Historical Tours: The Edmonton Grads on June 6, July 16 & August 16!

The Edmonton Commercial Graduates (the Grads) were an amateur women’s basketball team that played from 1915 to 1940. They were the best and they had the record to prove it. They won 412 out of 432 games played, with only 20 losses. They went from National champions (for 19 years) to North American champions (for 17 years) to World champions (for 16 years) — no other sporting team has a comparable record.
Board an ETS Historical Tour to learn about the women, the Edmontonians and businesses who supported them and see where they lived and played. Stops include the residence of Eleanor Mountifield, the captain during the Grads first National Championship, John A. McDougall Commercial High School, and the City of Edmonton’s Artifacts Centre.

Tour departs from Commonwealth Community Recreation Centre, Lot A (near Gate 2 of Commonwealth Stadium).

Important Note:
Space is limited on board, and can therefore only accommodate up to 2 wheelchairs, other mobility devices, or strollers. Guests who require this space and do not present an Accessible Ticket may only board once all other guests have boarded and if space permits.
Please note: These tours are not recommended for small children as they must remain seated while the bus is in motion
