About
This Remembrance Day, join us for a film screening of Cree Code Talker, a film that recognizes the role of Canadian Cree code talker Charles ‘Checker’ Tomkins during the Second World War. As Canadian law criminalized Indigenous languages, Cree was being used in World War II to save lives. This film captures a mixture of interviews, rare audio, archival documents, war footage, and a brother’s memories. An homage to a forgotten war hero.
Free with admission.
