Remembrance Day Film Screening: Cree Code Talker

This Remembrance Day, join us for a film screening of Cree Code Talker, a film that recognizes the role of Canadian Cree code talker Charles ​‘Checker’ Tomkins during the Second World War. As Canadian law criminalized Indigenous languages, Cree was being used in World War II to save lives. This film captures a mixture of interviews, rare audio, archival documents, war footage, and a brother’s memories. An homage to a forgotten war hero.
