Sass & Sweetgrass

Indigenous women are taking the mic and bringing that sweet medicine at Sass & Sweetgrass, a one-night-only comedy showcase happening Sunday, May 25, 2025, at Grindstone Theatre in Edmonton. 

Presented by IndigE-girl Comedy, the show brings together a powerful lineup of Indigenous comedians who blend raw humour, deep heart, and cultural truth-telling in an evening that is as healing as it is hilarious. 

From stories about Auntie antics to reflections on resilience and identity, Sass & Sweetgrass is a cheeky, unfiltered celebration of Indigenous joy. This isn’t just comedy — it’s community, reclamation, and unapologetic expression.
