The Edmonton Storyteller — The Life and Times of Tony Cashman will première at the Broad View International Film Festival

Tony was Edmonton’s biggest fan. His life’s work was spent telling Edmonton’s stories, its people and institutions. Many of you may have grown up reading his books and know them to be not just accurately researched but entertaining and enlightening. Through interviews with Tony and those who knew him, the film talks about Tony’s life against the backdrop of Edmonton. After serving in the RAF as a navigator in the Second World War, he returned to document Edmonton in radio broadcasts and 16 books. In his 70’s Tony went on to write and produce 10 Fringe plays, proving there is excitement for all of us well past retirement.
