Untitled (Capilano Schema)

Untitled (Capilano Schema) is a data-driven artwork that acknowledges both the traditional role of libraries as knowledge archives and their emerging role as spaces for creative exploration. It connects people, technology, and visual art to celebrate the communities served by Capilano Library. To create the artwork, the artists recorded stories and 3D-scanned objects of personal value brought in by library users and neighbourhood residents. The data gathered in the engagement process, and the resulting abstracted forms suspended throughout the space, demonstrate the creative potential of technology to reflect our values and collective identity.
